He then completed his surgical externship at the Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, Louisiana, and his internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. As a fellow, Dr. Sabahi specialized in gastroenterology and hepatology, and as an intern and resident, he worked in the field of internal medicine. 

He is currently a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, and the Gulf Coast Gut Club. 

Dr. Sabahi is also affiliated with the Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax and Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia.
